System Integration & Workflow FAQ

Can I connect PTZ cameras, lights, and audio into one system?

Yes. All CineJade packages are designed to work as an integrated, modular system.
With our kits, you can:

  • Control multiple PTZ cameras from one controller or software

  • Power and manage NDI cameras via a single network switch

  • Sync audio from a mixer with your video in OBS or a hardware encoder

  • Use COB video lights with dimmers for ideal exposure

We ensure all components—from camera angles to lighting and audio—work together smoothly.

What software do I need for livestreaming?

Most users choose one of the following:

  • OBS Studio – Free, open-source software ideal for multi-camera streaming, overlays, and Zoom/Teams integration

  • vMix – Paid software with advanced switching, titling, and NDI handling

  • Zoom, Teams, YouTube Live, or Facebook Live – Platform-specific tools for direct streaming

All CineJade systems are compatible with these tools. We also provide setup and training to help you get started.

How does NDI work in a multi-camera setup?

NDI (Network Device Interface) allows you to transmit:

  • Video

  • Audio

  • Control signals

  • Power (via PoE)

All over a single Ethernet cable per camera.

With a PoE switch, you can:

  • Set up 2–4 PTZ cameras using Cat5e/Cat6 cables

  • Control and monitor them from OBS or NDI software

  • Eliminate messy cable runs and multiple power supplies

NDI is ideal for scalable, clean, and flexible multi-camera systems.

How do I connect my mixer/audio system to OBS or my stream?

There are 3 main options:

  1. USB Audio Mixer – Plug directly into your PC; appears as a microphone in OBS, Zoom, etc.

  2. 3.5mm AUX Cable – Basic method; connects mixer output to PC mic input

  3. Audio Interface – Higher-quality conversion for XLR or instrument inputs into digital audio

We recommend USB mixers for most users—they’re reliable, easy to use, and integrate well with all streaming software.

Can I integrate CineJade gear with my existing system?

Yes. Our PTZ cameras, lights, and audio gear are compatible with most industry-standard setups.
We can help you:

  • Expand your system with additional cameras or mics

  • Integrate CineJade equipment with ATEM switchers, Blackmagic recorders, or existing OBS systems

  • Use our gear in both Windows and Mac environments

Not sure what works together? Just ask—we’ll check compatibility and recommend a clean integration.

Can I switch between multiple cameras live?
Yes. With our systems, you can switch camera angles using:
  • A PTZ joystick controller

  • OBS Studio (hotkeys or stream deck integration)

  • vMix or ATEM Mini switchers

  • Even with software-based scene automation

Our packages come with presets and switching tools so you can operate like a pro—even solo.

Do I need internet to record or stream?
  • For livestreaming: Yes, and we recommend at least 10 Mbps upload speed for HD streaming.

  • For recording only: No. You can record locally to your PC via OBS or to a hardware recorder, then upload later.

In poor internet areas, we recommend pre-recording or hybrid streaming with local backup.

Can I automate my workflow?

Yes. With tools like OBS, vMix, Stream Deck, or hotkey controllers, you can:

  • Switch cameras

  • Trigger overlays or lower thirds

  • Control lights or tally signals

  • Start/stop recordings or streams

  • Schedule transitions or layouts

We offer training to help you build an efficient, semi-automated workflow that suits your content style.
