Audio Equipment FAQ

Do I need a separate audio mixer/switcher for livestreaming?

If you’re using more than one microphone, or want control over audio levels, a dedicated audio mixer is highly recommended. It allows you to:

  • Adjust mic volumes individually

  • Mute or EQ sources

  • Combine audio cleanly into your livestream or recording

For small setups, a 2- to 4-channel USB mixer is often enough and very easy to use.

Should I choose wireless or wired microphones?

It depends on your environment and how much mobility you need:

Many users combine both—for example, a wireless lav mic for the speaker and a wired mic for a backup or second guest.

Can I add audio equipment to a PTZ package?

Yes. All CineJade PTZ packages are fully audio-ready. We offer add-on audio bundles that include:

  • Wireless lavalier or handheld mic kits (1–4 channels)

  • Wired mics with stands or desktop mounts

  • Small-form mixers with USB or AUX outputs

  • Cables and adapters to connect to your PC or streaming system

Let us know your use case—we’ll recommend a clean, matched setup.

How do I connect audio to my livestream system?

You have a few simple options:

  • USB Audio Mixer → Plug directly into your computer (best for OBS, Zoom, Teams)

  • 3.5mm AUX Cable → From mixer to laptop mic input (works, but limited control)

  • Audio Interface → Professional audio-to-USB solution for high-quality streaming

For most users, a USB mixer is the easiest and most flexible option—and we can help you configure it.

What if I don’t know anything about sound mixing?

No worries! Our recommended mixers are user-friendly, and we offer:

  • Pre-configured packages (just plug in and go)

  • Quick-start guides are included with every kit

  • Optional 1-on-1 training, in-studio or online

  • Support via phone or video call to help you get started

We make livestreaming as easy as turning on a mic.
